Let’s talk about one of my new favourite designers!

With a few weeks of time before my new adventure, I’ve had the opportunity to work in the heart of Chester. It goes without saying, I absolutely love it here. It’s amazing not only to work alongside such experienced colleagues and stunning jewellery, but to have so much exposure to the world of goldsmithing and jewellery design!

One designer in particular caught my eye. As we know by now, I’m a lover of all things contemporary in the world of fine jewellery, and Solidis is a glowing example of gemstones made playful, with clear cultural influences and non-stop glamour. 

Solidis believes that gemstones have strong energetic potential, capable of connecting the world of the universe with the world of body and spirit. Therefore, precious and semi-precious stones are the core of their designs, crafted to highlight your personality and reflect your soul to the world around you!

As a new lover of the brand, I wanted to share my 5 favourite pieces from the Solidis collections!

Indigo

Collection: Life

Indigo became a personal favourite at first sight.

Sapphire is believed to source success and prosperity. This bracelet is therefore designed for those who are ambitious, whether personal or professional. 

I love this bracelet for the enamel detailing that encircles the centre stone. The design is substantial, yet delicate and very versatile! Interestingly, in some cultures, this subdivide of corundum is also known  as the “East Amethyst” stone.

Arrow

Collection: Life

Arrow is an immaculate hybrid of Eastern and Western influence. 

This design is crafted to fit a centre topaz, believed to calm the nervous system, eliminating doubt and balancing emotions. Topaz is also a symbol of power, confidence and beauty, and one of my all time favourites.

The arrow is believed to direct its energy directly into your soul, nourishing you with its strength.

Liberam Fuga

Collection: Legendary

In Liberal Fuga, the earring form is crafted to denote abstract wing imagery, and I’m completely obsessed! 

These earrings are symbolic of freedom. Each wing is complemented by three falling amethyst drops, offering us effortless glamour. Amethyst is believed to develop internal abilities, most specifically wisdom.

Lignum

Collection: Fire

The Lignum earrings are a continuation of the Eastern to Western fusion we noted within the Arrow design. The core element of this design is deep-red garneta, complemented by Solidis’ signature enamel detailing. 

At first glance you may not realise the inspiration behind this unique design. Take a moment and you will see a brilliant harmony of hanging red garnet and natural corundum gems on a branch, denoting a tree!

Limitless

Collection: Life 

Limitless is a personification of infinity, and what a beautiful sentiment it is.

It is crafted to form an unfinished circle, complemented by diamonds and sapphire. Sapphire in this form is believed to promote life advancement, and alleviate anger.
