Norwegian Fjords

My adventure through the Norwegian Fjords began in the gorgeous port of Skjolden. Nothing short of stunning, we wandered through the quaint streets in search of ice cream (as I often do in these quieter ports).

Then began my kayaking adventure in the Fjord of Kristiansund.

I love an adventure through waters, but this one was tough! I was escorting a group of 11 guests, with my sole responsibility being to return them by afternoon in one piece. When out in the water, two men capsized their ship and wound up trapped under the water! I’d love to say I’m calm in a crisis, but I’m really quite the opposite! Although the guys were okay, it gave the whole team quite a fright!

Then on to the port of Andalsnes. This port already held a special place in my heart, as it was my first port with P&O a short 8 weeks ago.

I enjoyed some stunning (even if aesthetically underwhelming) pancakes in the one cafe adorning the port, then begged shelter from the rain, running from one crossroad to another.

After a moment of romance at the waterfront, Nathan and I headed back for an afternoon of rest on the ship.

Oh my goodness, the town of Kristiansand! Dolphins flipping through the water, beds of fresh flowers. I fell instantly in love. I also had the most gorgeous cinnamon bun, I honestly have thought about it every day since…

Norway is a truly gorgeous country. Quiet, peaceful, and forever special to me.
